Carrie A. Wilson
Ms. Wilson practices in areas of environmental law focusing on regulatory compliance of water quality, stormwater, contaminated soils, hazardous substance cleanup, and due diligence. She has experience with NPDES, CWA, RCRA and CERCLA. Ms. Wilson assists her clients by providing regulatory compliance advice and strategy on numerous types of environmental issues, both in defending against liability, as well as assisting them in such matters to protect and enhance environmental quality and reuse of the site.
Although Ms. Wilson is new to the legal profession, she is not to environmental management and compliance. She has an undergraduate degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an emphasis in environmental and water resource engineering and subsurface contaminant transport. She has extensive environmental consulting experience having worked for contractors to the Department of Energy for almost 10 years, the Department of Navy for almost 5 years and environmental consulting firms for another couple of years. She oversaw cleanup of the Savannah River Site, an NPL site, provided regulatory oversight of Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base operation contractor activities and provided compliance advice to private industry such as Nutrasweet Co., and DSM Chemicals North America, Inc.
Ms. Wilson has a J.D. from the University of the Pacific-McGeorge School of Law with an Environmental Law concentration taking courses in environmental, water, natural resources, and climate change law. She is also a member of the Roger J. Trayor Honor Society for academic excellence.
Ms. Wilson is admitted to practice in California and is a member of the California Bar Association.
